US Congressman Dana Rohrabacher slams Pakistan over supporting terrorism in the region

Washington: The United States on Saturday slammed Pakistan for sheltering terror networks. Speaking to news agency ANI, US Congressman Dana Rohrabacher said that the US will have to make sure that they never send Pakistan another weapon for them to use against their own people.

“Have to make sure that we (US) will never send Pakistan another weapon that they can use against their own people, that’s the first start,” he said, adding that the government, especially ISI, are allies of the oppressors. “The Govt in Islamabad especially ISI are not allies of free people but instead are oppressors,” he said.
Earlier in June, US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley slammed Pakistan for sheltering terror networks and said that the US will not tolerate it. “The US values Pakistan as a partner but we cannot tolerate the state becoming a haven for terrorists and hope to see a change,” she said while delivering a lecture at a think-tank in New Delhi.

Haley also said that India and the US must be global leaders in the fight against terrorism. “We can and must do more,” she said.

India had recently snubbed Pakistan at the United Nations for its continuous reference of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir saying that the latter’s “repeated and cynical” attempts to spread false narratives about the Indian state will “never succeed”. India also termed Pakistan as a “hub of terror in our region and beyond”.

“Repeated and cynical attempts by Pakistan, a hub of terror in our region and beyond, to spread a false narrative about the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir have not succeeded earlier and will not do so now,” said Sandeep Kumar Bayyapu, India’s First Secretary to the UN.
