Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of Naval Staff and Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee, reviewed the Navy’s operational posture during his two-day visit to Gujarat.

Admiral Lanba visited the Navy’s forward operating bases at Porbandar and Okha during his visit. He was briefed about the Navy’s operational posture in the state. He reviewed the Navy’s present status and future plans with regards to operational and administrative infrastructure developments during his visit, which concluded on Thursday.

He also interacted with both service and civilian personnel of Indian Navy posted at the two stations and extolled them to continue to remain alert to thwart any nefarious designs against the nation in the region, which plays a pivotal role in the country’s geographical and economic security. Admiral Lanba was accompanied by Mrs Reena Lanba, President of Navy Wives Welfare Association.
