SRINAGAR: The explosive material and items recovered from the three terrorists killed in the Bandipora forests had come from Pakistan, army officials said. Three terrorists were eliminated by the army in the woods of Chaan Daji and Dani Behak area — the operation was on for the past week.

“Special forces of the Indian Army, along with 27 members of the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched the search operation, which turned into an encounter in which three terrorists were killed,” said Brigadier V Hariharan, 5 sector commander, Wetlab sector, Bandipora.

“ From the war-like stores recovered, it was found that the terrorists were from Pakistan,” he added. Sources told Mirror that Pakistan Ordnance Factory markings were found on the UBGL and other arms recovered.
