London: Pakistan Armed Forces spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor said if India dares to launch a surgical strike inside Pakistan, it will face ten surgical strikes in response.

Ghafoor, earlier in interview, said Pakistan Army is “ready for a war” but prefers the path of peace in the best interests of its people, as a response to Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat’s comment that India would “avenge” the death of its soldiers and take “stern action” against Pakistan.

Ghafoor said those who think of any misadventure against Pakistan should have no doubt in their minds on Pakistan's capabilities. Pakistan Army is a custodian of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and this mega project will strengthen the economy of the country, he added.

Ghafoor said Pakistan Army wants to strengthen Pakistan's democracy. He said general elections 2018 were most transparent ever in history of the country.

DG ISPR said there is a complete freedom of expression in the country. He said there is more good in Pakistan than the bad and international media should also highlight positive things about Pakistan.

He said Pakistan has rendered huge sacrifices in war against terrorism to make the region and world safer.

Director General ISPR said around seventy-six thousand Pakistanis have embraced martyrdom in this war. He said today's Pakistan is much better than past.
