New Delhi: An internal security Intelligence Bureau note has revealed that a sleeper cell of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has sneaked into India's most secure zone to target PM Narendra Modi. The LeT operatives are reportedly tracking the movement of PM Modi in the highly-secure Lutyens’ Zone. According to reports accessed by Times Now, the LeT death squads have reconnoitred the PM's route from 7 Lok Kalyan Marg to South Block office.

The death squads have been ordered to assassinate PM Modi in the near future on orders from Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

It should be remembered that before 26/11 Mumbai attacks, David Coleman Headley was given the same task by the LeT of reconnoitring all the important strategic locations linked to the government. He did it here in Delhi and was a sleeper agent in Mumbai.

After the Intelligence Bureau received this report it has led to an unprecedented security rejig over Raisina hills.

Apart from the PM, other VVIPs continue to face high-degree of threat from Islamist outfits like LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen in particular.

This year in May, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad filed a charge sheet against Ubed Ahmed Mirza and Mohammad Kasim Stimberwala, two suspected ISIS operatives for planning to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The terrorists were planning to target the PM with a sniper rifle which was supposed to be bought from Russia. The ATS further revealed that the two terrorists were "highly radicalised by the Jihadi ideology of Islamic State. Mirza was a practising lawyer at the Surat district court while Stimberwala worked as a laboratory technician at a hospital in Ankleshwar.
