NEW DELHI: As this year marks the 20th anniversary of the Kargil war, the Indian Army will be celebrating it by releasing a calendar as a tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives.

The theme for the celebration is “Remember-Rejoice-Renew” which means "Remember the martyrs, Rejoice in the Victory and Renew the pledge for the future!!"

As a build up to the celebration in July this year, the first curtain raiser is the New Year Calendar, which is a collector's item.

The calendar also showcases the sequence of the events during the Kargil war with photographs of soldiers.
