Meanwhile NIA also carried out searches in the houses of three separatist leaders of South Kashmir namely Mohammed Shaban Dar, Shawkat Maulvi and Yasmine Raza, in a terror funding case. Raid was conducted by NIA at Sajjad Bhat's house. He has reportedly joined Jaish-e-Mohammed and earlier his photograph surfaced on social media.

Thirteen days after the dastardly terror attack on CRPF convoy, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided the houses of Mudassir Ahmad Khan and Sajjad Bhat.

Both are active members of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror group and key accused persons in the 14th February suicide bombing at Pulwama, in which 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred.

Searches were also conducted in the houses of active OGWs (Over Ground Workers) of JEM in Tral, Awantipora and Pulwama areas of South Kashmir. Incriminating materials including diaries containing coded writings were also seized. Raids were conducted in 11 other locations in South Kashmir by the premier anti-terror investigating agency.

Mudassir Khan, senior Jaish member who was working closely with Kamran and Ghazi was a key player in plotting and executing the Pulwama incident. Meanwhile Sajjad Bhat, was the one who brought the vehicle used by the suicide bomber. Both are wanted terror operatives, however, they continue to be at large.

Meanwhile NIA also carried out searches in the houses of three separatist leaders of South Kashmir namely Mohammed Shaban Dar, Shawkat Maulvi and Yasmine Raza, in a terror funding case.

Documents related to terror funding, coded messages and Jihadi literature have been seized. During searches, the NIA team also recovered incriminating documents including property details, documents relating to financial and monetary transactions, electronic devices, mobile phones, sim cards etc.

Earlier on Tuesday, NIA had carried out searches at seven locations, including on the houses of separatists like Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, in connection with a case related to funding to terrorist and separatist groups in Jammu and Kashmir.

The agency said it recovered "high-tech internet communication setup" from the residence of Mirwaiz Umer Farooq. Post the Pulwama terror attack, NIA has cracked down on the terror operatives as well as the separatist in the Kashmir Valley.
