Hours after Pakistan Army violated ceasefire along the LoC in the Digwar sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, Indian Army successfully destroyed a Pak post in retaliation against the heavy shelling in the Balnoi sector in the Mendhar area of Poonch district on Tuesday evening.

Continuing its blatant run by violating the ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan on Tuesday afternoon also violated ceasefire violations in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district, incidentally the area where the Pakistan Air Force attempted its intrusion into Indian airspace in an effort to attack India's military installations.

On March 1, Pakistan fired in Jhullas area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district in which two children - a nine-month-old baby, her five-year-old brother and their mother were killed. The cowardly act had exposed Pakistan's doublespeak as the civilians were targeted during the time of the release of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

The shelling from across the border has intensified after India's pre-emptive strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed's terror camps at Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.

As per PIT report, the Pakistan Army has violated the ceasefire for over 60 times during the last one week by targeting over 70 civilian and forward areas along the LoC in Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu and Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir, also leaving nine persons, including some army personnel, injured.

Amid high tensions along the LoC, Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh accompanied by White Knight Corps Commander Lt Gen Paramjit Singh visited forward posts in Rajouri Sector to review the operational preparedness on Thursday.
