The Indian Army has deployed an additional infantry brigade on the Line of Control(LoC) for countering any situation developing from Pakistan Army in the aftermath of the removal of article 370 from Kashmir.

The Army has also identified the possible trouble spots in the Kashmir valley where miscreants and Pakistan-backed separatist groups can create issues for the security forces.

Top Army sources told India Today, an additional brigade has been deployed from the northeast region on the LoC to counter any attempt by Pakistan army to push terrorists into India. The brigade had been moved from a northeast couple of months ago to prevent infiltration and also to tackle the terror threat during the Amarnath Yatra.

On the issue of identifying trouble spots, the sources said that Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat had himself reviewed the possible trouble spots and the ways of handling the situation in the Kashmir valley with senior commanders.

The Army Chief has visited the Kashmir valley in the last week of July to review the security situation before the government decided to implement the decision to scrap Article 370.
