Howdy Modi Houston event: The event will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, and be attended by over 50,000 Indian-Americans. The event will take place at 10 am local time and 8.30 pm Indian Standard Time. The event will be attended by US President Donald Trump as a 'special gesture'

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the Howdy Modi event in Houston along with US President Donald Trump. The event — expected to be attended by an estimated 50,000 Indian-Americans. Trump will be attending the event as a special gesture. The event will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on September 22, a day after PM reaches the US.

The Howdy Modi event, organised by The Texas India Forum (TIF) is the third such event to be attended by PM Modi ever since he took over the office of the Prime Minister in 2014. In September 2014, months after coming to power, Modi had hosted a massive gathering of over 19000 people at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Next year, another mega event was hosted at San Jose. 

The Howdy Modi event — with a tagline “Shared Dreams, Bright Futures — will begin at 10 am local time and 8.30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST). The programme will be telecast live on Times Now channel and Facebook page. Select moments from the Prime Minister's address will also be shared on Times Now's official Twitter handle. 

Meanwhile, while PM Narendra Modi's Youtube channel is also likely to telecast the event live — as has been done on previous instances — no official announcement in this regard has yet been made.
