Several civilians are also believed to be injured as Indian forces open fire across LoC: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistani soldier was martyred and two civilians injured after India resorted to firing from across the Line of Control in Baroh and Chirikot sectors, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday  reports Pakistani media.

According to the ISPR, Sepoy Naimat Wali was killed in action, while two women in Serian village got injured.

Pak Ignoring Fallen Soliders

For Maj-Gen Ghafoor's notorious Inter-Services Public Relations, covering up Pakistani casualties is a routine. But India Today's Open-Source Investigation has cracked open the ISPR's worst-kept secrets.

India Today's Open-Source Investigation has cracked open notorious Inter Services Public Relations' worst-kept secrets. India Today's investigation has found how Pakistan disowns its fallen heroes.

On August 29, 2017, for instance, the ISPR's historical record is found to have acknowledged the loss of one Pakistani soldier along the LoC.

But the same information is missing from the media statement of the day. It carries no mention of any LoC casualty but a reference to a Pakistani army operation in the Peshawar division. Pakistan ignores its fallen heroes to cover its loss of face against its powerful and efficient adversary.

“Pakistan Army troops targeted Indian Army posts in response. Post substantially damaged. Reports of casualties to Indian troops,” the military's media wing added.
