Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Saturday expressed “deep concern” over India’s apex court’s ruling on Ayodhya, saying “minorities in India are no longer safe” after the verdict. SC in its judgement gave the 2.7 acre of the disputed Ayodhya land to Centre directing it to form a trust which will oversee the construction of Ram temple. SC ruled that a 5-acre tract of land at a "prominent" location will be given to Sunni Waqf board. India rejected Pakistan's Foreign Office's statement on Ayodhya verdict

New Delhi: India rejected Pakistan’s “unwarranted and gratuitous” statement on the Ayodhya verdict saying it a civil matter and completely “internal” to India.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the ruling pertains to “rule of law and equal respect for all religions, concepts that aren’t part of their ethos”.

“We reject the unwarranted & gratuitous comments made by Pakistan on the judgement of Supreme Court on a civil matter that is completely internal to India,” MEA said in an official statement.
