The Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested four local youth for setting ablaze shops in district Baramulla. The accused have been allegedly creating fear psychosis among the trader community in the town.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Abdul Qayoom said the investigation in the incident was started a few days back. The accused were arrested on the basis of CCTV footage.

After questioning, four local youth who also happened to be shopkeepers were arrested.

On the basis of the initial investigation it was revealed, the motive behind setting ablaze the shops was not only creating chaos but was also due to business rivalry.

"Baramulla town had limped back to normalcy and these youth were creating trouble in the town," said SSP Baramulla.
