A tricky question in a social science exam paper of Class 10 students in Madhya Pradesh stoked a major controversy on Saturday.

In the question paper, the students were asked to mark "Azad Kashmir" -- an unofficial term used interchangeably for Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) -- in the Indian map.

After getting the information of the objectionable question, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress veteran Kamal Nath ordered an inquiry into the incident.

The senior Congress leader said immediate action must be taken against the person who had set the question paper.
