Militants in Jammu and Kashmir shot dead a 25-year-old woman, police said on Friday, after her bullet riddled body was recovered from a village in Shopian district.

The victim was a resident of Dangerpora, Pulwama. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law. The woman is said to be relative of slain militant Zeenat-ul-Islam.

The woman was last seen in a video posted by the militants on Thursday. The terrorists also made a video of the act and circulated it on social media, a police officer said.

Her body was found in Sugan village in Shopian, an officer added.
