New Delhi: BJP maverick Subramanian Swamy has said that if India wants to take back Pakistan Occupied Kashmir then it needs to withdraw the illegal petition filed by Jawaharlal Nehru in the UNSC in 1947. He further said that once the petition is withdrawn then the Line of Control (LoC) will become illegal after which Indian security forces can cross over.

Taking to his Twitter handle Swamy further said that Muzzafarabad is easy to take and so is Skardu.

Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah while moving a resolution for abrogating some provisions of Article 370 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019 in Lok Sabha had declared that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin were part of Jammu and Kashmir and that Kashmir Valley is an integral part of the country.

“Kashmir is an integral part of India, there is no doubt over it. When I talk about Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Aksai Chin are included in it,” he had said.

Shah slammed the Congress for taking the Kashmir matter to the UN and asked, “who brought a unilateral ceasefire in 1948?”

He further said that if the Indian Army had a free hand to deal with the situation, PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) would have been a part of India today.

Apart from Shah and now Swamy, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had also said in Rajya Sabha that the Central government will also reclaim Balochistan and PoK.

"Today, we have reclaimed Jammu and Kashmir. Tomorrow, we will take Baluchistan, PoK and I have trust that this government will fulfil the dream of undivided India."

In a historic development, the Narendra Modi-led NDA government diluted Article 370 ending Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. The Parliament approved a resolution ending applicability of Article 370 of the Constitution to the state and passed a bill to create two Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

After the bifurcation, Jammu and Kashmir will now be a Union Territory with an Assembly, while Ladakh will also be a Union Territory with no legislature.

Shah, however, had announced in the Parliament that the decision of making the state a UT was temporary adding that full statehood could be restored after normalcy returns there.

The Bill was passed with over 350 members voting in its favour, a day after the Rajya Sabha approved the legislation.
