Arms and cash recovered after Pakistani drones airdropped them on Punjab soil

Punjab Police special cell has arrested another Khalistani terrorist who is accused of burning one of the Pakistani drones that were recovered in Punjab recently

Punjab Police has arrested another Khalistani terrorist in Amritsar in connection with the recent incident of Pakistani drones dropping weapons and narcotics on Punjab soil.

Khalistan Zindabad Force terrorist Sajan Preet has been arrested by a state special operation cell of Punjab Police.

He was arrested from Khalsa College locality in Amritsar. He has been accused of destroying a drone that was found recently and also selling two of the pistols that were airdropped.

Last week the Punjab government said it has so far recovered two drones used in dropping weapons from across the border.

An official spokesman said one drone was recovered last month and another was seized in burnt condition from Jhabal town in Tarn Taran, Punjab.

However, an object, which was recovered earlier in Amritsar with the police claiming it to be a drone, has turned out to be a part of a submersible motor, reported PTI.

The state government expressed concern over the movement of large sized drones from across the Indo-Pak border to the Union Home Ministry.

It was pointed out that acquisition of such capacity and skills by Jihadi and pro-Khalistani terrorist outfits in deployment of drones had serious implications for national security, especially for security of vital installations, security of public meetings/events and highly threatened protectees.
