The raid at multiple places in Pulwama and Srinagar districts was in connection with the recovery of 15 pistols

Two TRF militants were claimed to have been arrested on the day by the police.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out raids at 9 locations in the Kashmir valley, including 4 locations in Srinagar and 5 locations in Pulwama district. As per officials, the raid at multiple places in Pulwama and Srinagar districts was in connection with the recovery of 15 pistols at Chanapora in May this year.

Official sources told India Today that NIA sleuths with the assistance of police and paramilitary CRPF personnel carried out raids at five locations in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and four places in Srinagar district.

The raids pertained to the recovery of 15 pistols at Chanapora on May 23 and police had claimed that militants were planning to carry out hit and run cases using the weapons.

Two TRF militants were claimed to have been arrested on the day by the police.

Later, the case was taken over by the NIA.
