Murtaza Hamid wishes to donate 110 crores to families of martyred Jawans

Murtaza, who was born without eyesight spoke to India Today TV and said: "I was deeply hurt by the loss of 40 Jawans in the Pulwama attack. We Indians are all one citizen and we should help each other in all possible ways. I wanted to help the army and their family members"

Murtaza Hamid is a scientist and currently based in Mumbai for a research work. He wishes to offer Rs 110 crore from his taxable income to Prime Minister's welfare fund.

He wants this money to be given to the family members of the soldiers who lost their lives during the Pulwama terror attack.

Murtaza, who was born without eyesight spoke to India Today TV and said: "I was deeply hurt by the loss of 40 Jawans in the Pulwama attack. We Indians are all one citizen and we should help each other in all possible ways. I wanted to help the army and their family members."

He informed that the amount is already processed and is from his hard earned money-- all from taxable income.

He has also written to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and wish to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in person and hand over the money.

Murtaza, who is originally from Kota also invented a technology which according to him can avert Pulwama type of incident in the future. The technology is called Fuel Burn Radiation by which cars carrying explosives can be traced even without GPS.

"Any type of Interference with the fuel, like the one used in the blast can be detected once it is connected to the fuse," he added.

Murtaza said that three years back he offered the technology and had it had been adopted; the Pulwama incident could have been stopped.

On February 14, 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed in a suicide bomb attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district that was later claimed by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
