Kochi: Royal Malaysian Navy ship ‘KD Jebat’ is undergoing Operational Sea Training (OST) from Indian Navy in Kochi. This is the first time a Malaysian Navy ship being trained in OST from Indian Navy.

The training by Indian Naval Workup Team (INWT) is from October 10 – 18. The Chief of Staff for Southern Naval Command RJ Nadkarni visited the commanding officer Muhammed Noorsyarisal of the Malaysian ship on Friday.

The officers discussed the present military cooperation between India and Malaysia. Later Muhammed Noorsyarisal visited Rear Admiral SJ Singh who explained the various modes of the training to the commanding officer.

KD Jebat's visit to Kochi would be a major milestone in enhancing the cooperation between navies in India and Malaysia.
