Before claiming that his government has zero-tolerance for such incidents, Imran Khan said that "oppression of minorities and targeted attacks against Muslims is the agenda of Modi and RSS"

Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday condemned the mob attack on Nankana Sahib but drew Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) links to take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Before claiming that his government has zero-tolerance for such incidents, Imran Khan said that "oppression of minorities and targeted attacks against Muslims is the agenda of Modi and RSS".

Imran Khan took to his official Twitter handle and said, "The major difference between the condemnable Nankana incident and the ongoing attacks across India on Muslims and other minorities is this: the former is against my vision and will find zero tolerance and protection from the govt including police and judiciary."

"In contrast, Modi's RSS vision supports minorities oppression & the targeted attacks against Muslims are part of this agenda. RSS goons conducting public lynchings, Muslims being violated by mobs are all not only supported by Modi Govt but Indian police lead anti-Muslim attacks," further read his tweet.

Imran Khan's reaction has come a day after a Muslim mob besieged the holy Nankana Sahib in Pakistan and pelted stones on the structure while several Sikh pilgrims were trapped inside the gurudwara. The entire incident was captured in video footage.

The incident has drawn widespread condemnation with a large section of Sikh community slamming Imran Khan's regime for letting such an incident occur under his nose.
