IRNSS-1I NavIC constellation satellite undergoing static test at ISAC, Bangalore

Spacecraft controllers at the Master Control Facility of ISRO at Hassan in Karnataka today successfully enhanced the orbital plane of Indian navigation satellite IRNSS-1I.

The first orbit raising operations carried out at 0419 hrs on Friday enabled the satellite achieve a perigee of 315 km with an apogee of 35,809 km.

The satellite a standby spacecraft in the Navic constellation of ISRP's first generation navigational satellites was launched from Sriharikota on Thursday.

ISRO said that the satellite was in good condition.

The second orbit raising operations would be carried out later in the day today to achieve the targeted perigee height is 8536 km and apogee height is 35793 km ISRO said.
