UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan personally called Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to extend warm greetings on his 76th birthday. The conversation between the two leaders was not limited to pleasantries, as they also discussed ways to further strengthen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Their dialogue covered cooperation in energy, defence, technology, investment and health, reflecting the breadth of collaboration between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi.

The UAE President congratulated Prime Minister Modi on India’s successful BRICS Presidency. He acknowledged India’s leadership in steering the grouping towards substantive outcomes.

Prime Minister Modi, in turn, expressed appreciation for the participation of Crown Prince Khaled in the BRICS Summit and highlighted the UAE’s constructive role in advancing the agenda during India’s Presidency.

Both leaders exchanged views on developments in West Asia. They reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and coordination in promoting regional peace, security and stability. Their emphasis on regional stability underscores the importance of India-UAE collaboration in a volatile geopolitical environment.

Prime Minister Modi shared details of the call in a post on X, further underlining the significance of the conversation. Wishes for Prime Minister Modi’s birthday have poured in from across the world, with leaders expressing admiration for his leadership and extending warm greetings.

Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu also conveyed birthday wishes to Prime Minister Modi. She praised his 25 years of public service and his contribution to good governance and inclusive development. Her message reflected the domestic recognition of Modi’s role in shaping India’s trajectory.

Prime Minister Modi was born in 1950 in Vadnagar, Gujarat’s Mehsana district, to Hiraba and Damodardas Modi. On 26 May 2014, he took the oath as Prime Minister of India, becoming the first Prime Minister to be born after Independence. He is currently serving his third consecutive term, a tenure marked by significant domestic and international initiatives.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party is organising the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' across the country from 17 September to 17 October.

This month-long campaign features service-oriented programs and public outreach initiatives to mark Prime Minister Modi’s birthday and his decades of public life. The initiative reflects the party’s emphasis on service and citizen engagement.
