Maldivian National Defence Force (MNDF) ship 'Huravee' at the Visakhapatnam Dockyard

Months after being asked to take back gifted helicopters, India to fund repairs of Maldivian Coast Guard Ship

According to Indian news outlets, Coast Guard ship 'Huravee' arrived at the Indian navy dockyard Visakhapatnam on 6th July. India is to fully fund the ship's repair work which is expected to cost over MVR 10 million

While the ship's refitting is to begin on 1st August, it is expected to take four months to complete

Months after telling India to take back the helicopter it had gifted to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), a Maldivian Coast Guard ship has been sent there for repair work.

According to Indian news outlets, Coast Guard ship 'Huravee' arrived at the Indian navy dockyard Visakhapatnam on 6th July with Commander Major Mohamed Jamsheed and 25 crewmen, escorted by INS Rana from Sri Lanka.
