Sanlayan Technologies Secures Defence Orders As Indigenous Systems Gain Momentum; Posts First Full-Year Profit

Sanlayan Technologies has posted its first full-year net profit as its revenue surged sixfold to ₹139.61 crore in FY26. The company reported a net profit of ₹24.97 crore, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey.
However, the more striking aspect of its progress lies in its expanding portfolio of indigenous defence products and their adoption by India’s Armed Forces and leading system integrators.
The company’s growth has been driven by programs transitioning from development into series production. Its clientele includes Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the Armed Forces, and private system integrators.
This balance between new development mandates and production programs has positioned Sanlayan as a critical contributor to India’s defence ecosystem.
Sanlayan recently secured a production order worth more than ₹70 crore for the Uttam AESA Radar program, a flagship indigenous radar system. It has also won development orders for critical subsystems in DRDO’s next-generation drone detection radar and electronic warfare payloads for unmanned systems.
These projects highlight the company’s ability to deliver mission-critical technologies that directly enhance India’s defence capabilities.
The company successfully completed a Technology Development Fund (TDF) project, handing over an indigenous jammer pod subsystem to the Indian Air Force after successful flight trials. This achievement underscores its growing role in electronic warfare, a domain vital for modern combat readiness.
Sanlayan has also developed an anti-submarine warfare transmitter, which it describes as global best-in-class. Currently undergoing trials, this product is expected to generate an additional opportunity of around ₹1,500 crore, supplementing its already confirmed pipeline of over ₹2,000 crore.
Such innovations demonstrate the company’s ambition to become a technology OEM of choice for India’s Armed Forces.
Operating across radar, electronic warfare, avionics, power electronics, and mission-critical embedded systems, Sanlayan has expanded its infrastructure to support growth. It inaugurated a 20,000-sq-ft facility in Electronic City, Bangalore.
The facility is dedicated to radar and electronic warfare manufacture, the company expanded its power electronics capacity, and added more than 100 engineers specialising in systems engineering, RF, and AI/ML. The company employs over 450 people across six facilities spanning 70,000 sq ft in Bangalore.
Rohan Gala, Co-Founder and CEO, emphasised that Sanlayan is working closely with the forces, integrators, and labs shaping India’s defence future. He noted that capturing the vast opportunity ahead requires sustained investments in R&D and a continuous transition of innovation into production.
The company aims to achieve annual net profit of more than ₹250 crore within the next four to five years, supported by its strong order backlog of ₹286 crore and confirmed pipeline.
Founded in 2023 by former Zetwerk executives Rohan Gala, Abhijit Kothawale, and Rahul Vamsidhar, Sanlayan Technologies has rapidly established itself as an integrated Indian defence start-up.
Its ambition is to expand sovereign defence technologies, deepen its role across India’s defence ecosystem, and deliver world-class systems and subsystems that strengthen national security while positioning India as a global leader in defence technology.
