India’s Micro-Turbojet Engine Drive Secures ₹43 Crore Funding Boost

Bangalore-based Dheya Engineering Technologies has secured a funding boost of ₹43 crore in a round led by Avaana Capital. This infusion of capital marks a significant step forward for the company’s ambitions in indigenous aerospace propulsion, particularly in the niche domain of micro-turbojet engines.
The company has successfully developed 200N and 500N class micro-turbojet engines. These compact propulsion systems are designed to meet the growing demand for lightweight and efficient engines across unmanned systems and advanced aerospace platforms.
The engines are expected to undergo flight trials in the fourth quarter of 2026, a milestone that will validate their performance outside controlled test environments.
Dheya Engineering Technologies has already confirmed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) orders from both Indian and overseas customers. This early traction demonstrates the commercial viability of its propulsion technology and signals strong demand for indigenous alternatives to imported systems. Such orders also highlight the confidence of industry stakeholders in the company’s engineering capabilities.
