The advisory suggests that the entire operation would be monitored from the Remote Data Station (RDS), Mianwali at Ormara which is adjacent to Jinnah Naval Base of Pakistan navy

While there has been no official announcement, Pakistani authorities have issued an advisory on the development.

Days after carrying out a night training launch of its surface to surface missile Ghaznavi, Pakistan is set to carry out a naval exercise in the Arabian Sea.

Although there has been no official announcement from Pakistani government or military about any possible test, an advisory issued by Pakistani authorities clearly suggests that Pakistani navy would be using "air defence and anti-aircraft guns" during this operation near its naval base in the Arabian Sea.

According to the advisory "ships and crafts are to keep well clear of the danger area (near Jinnah Naval Base)" during the operation. The advisory issued by authorities is valid for 4th and 5th September between 0400 to 1200 UTC suggesting that it would be a day-exercise.

The advisory suggests that the entire operation would be monitored from the Remote Data Station (RDS), Mianwali at Ormara which is adjacent to Jinnah Naval Base of Pakistan navy.

According to satellite imagery of the area, the naval base is well connected to air support with a nearby runway and airport at Ormara. This comes a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned of "direct military confrontation" between the two countries.

However, India has maintained that the revocation of article 370 of Indian constitution is an internal matter of India which doesn't directly concern any other country.

The Pakistani establishment has been using the Kashmir situation to its advantage on its domestic front as well, earning a swift three years extension for its chief of army staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Earlier this week, the Pakistani military said that it had successfully test-fired surface-to-surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi which is capable of delivering multiple warheads up to 290 km.

Pakistani armed forces are also preparing for their annual day events which witness a display of the firepower of its three services.

Pakistan celebrates its defence day on September 6, Air Force day on September 7 and Navy Day on September 8 every year. The timing of the naval exercise clearly shows that it will be carried out before these annual events.
