Indian defence company VTDS has announced a strategic technology partnership with Czech firm DEUS Automation to collaborate in the small-calibre ammunition sector, Economic Times reported.

The agreement marks one of the first major technology-transfer collaborations between India and the Czech Republic in this domain. It underscores a shared commitment to strengthening long-term defence manufacturing cooperation between the two nations.

VTDS stated that the collaboration would provide it with access to advanced international manufacturing technologies and expertise. This is expected to contribute significantly to the indigenous development of ammunition production capabilities in India.

DEUS Automation a.s., part of the STV Group of the Czech Republic, will provide advanced manufacturing technology for the production of small-calibre ammunition in India.

According to VTDS, the manufacturing capabilities offered through this partnership are based on international quality benchmarks, precision engineering standards, and modern production systems. These will help establish a strong foundation for future growth and technological development.
