RRP Defence And ESC BAZ Join Forces To Launch Diamond Surveillance Technology In India And Beyond

RRP Defence Limited has announced an exclusive association with ESC BAZ, a globally recognised developer of advanced electro-optical observation systems, to introduce the Diamond – Unique Observation System to India and explore opportunities across international markets.
This partnership combines ESC BAZ’s advanced observation technology with RRP Defence’s manufacturing and market capabilities, creating a new business segment around intelligent surveillance and observation systems.
Diamond is a breakthrough in surveillance technology, offering daylight-quality imaging in complete darkness. This capability enables continuous monitoring in demanding environments where conventional systems fail. The system is powered by AI-driven detection and analytics, allowing faster identification and response to potential threats.
It is designed for both fixed and tactical deployment, including masts, towers, and rapidly re-positionable applications. With an 80° field of view and resolution of up to 4240 × 2832, Diamond is tailored for applications across border security, defence installations, critical infrastructure, perimeter protection, and tactical surveillance.
The timing of this association is significant, as global demand for advanced electro-optical and infrared surveillance technologies continues to rise. The global military EO/IR market is projected to reach approximately ₹92,150 crores ($11.1 billion) by 2025.
India alone represents an estimated ₹4,810 crores ($580 million) opportunity within this sector. According to RRP Defence’s business assessment, Diamond and its associated technology could contribute nearly 30% of the potential revenue opportunity within this emerging segment.
The partnership provides RRP Defence with a first-mover advantage in India’s specialised surveillance technology market. Diamond’s advanced observation capabilities directly address the growing requirement for intelligent surveillance in low-light and complete-darkness environments. Its AI-enabled analytics differentiate it from conventional systems, offering enhanced situational awareness.
By establishing an early position, RRP Defence can scale the technology across defence, homeland security, critical infrastructure, and other high-security environments. Beyond India, the platform supports ambitions to manufacture locally and expand into selected international markets.
This initiative aligns with India’s broader Make in India program, with RRP Defence aiming not just to import or distribute technology but to progressively support manufacturing, localisation, deployment, and international expansion.
The association is designed to create value for both organisations by combining ESC BAZ’s technology expertise and international experience with RRP Defence’s manufacturing and market reach. The company emphasised that Diamond is not merely another product addition but a strategic entry into a highly specialised technology segment with significant defence and security applications. The objective is to build in India, establish a strong market position, and ultimately take these capabilities to global markets.
The importance of surveillance has grown sharply as geopolitical tensions and security challenges intensify worldwide. Continuous monitoring and situational awareness are no longer luxuries but necessities.
The ability to detect and monitor threats in complete darkness is particularly critical for border and perimeter surveillance, defence and military installations, critical infrastructure, strategic industrial facilities, tactical security operations, and the protection of high-value and sensitive assets.
Diamond, with its ability to deliver daylight-quality images in darkness, AI-powered analytics, and flexible deployment options, is positioned to meet these requirements effectively.
This association marks a significant step for RRP Defence in expanding its portfolio into next-generation surveillance technologies. By leveraging ESC BAZ’s proven expertise and combining it with indigenous manufacturing and market reach, RRP Defence is poised to strengthen India’s defence ecosystem while simultaneously creating opportunities in global markets.
